The Tracing Historical Roots of Equity and Disparity (THREAD) Lab is directed by Dr. Kyshia Henderson in the Psychology Department at the University of Chicago.

Our lab explores how collective memory and historical narratives influence present day attitudes about racism. By uncovering the psychological strategies people use to engage or disengage with the history of racism, we aim to understand and address barriers to equity.
